In a world that values connection, it may be necessary to return to the basics and assess whether the tools we use for connecting are worth it at some point. Conduct an audit, choose a behaviour change, and try new things without the need to share, double-tap, or like.

Maybe you need a digital detox; it's difficult because we are so reliant on our electronics, but cutting back is a possibility; start by logging off of social media, not watching TV, or whatever works for you.

I could go through the advantages or how to recognise when we need it, but if we are honest with ourselves and listen to our inner monologue, we will tell.

In March, I usually avoid using social media and limit my other devices.

As humans, we have a natural dread of missing out, yet the delight of missing out is a choice.
