Hey friends,

How have you been?

Lately, I have a few thoughts about happiness.

Everyone feels like they know what “happiness” means, but it’s tough for multiple people to agree on a definition. Happiness isn’t something that we can show each other and measure with a ruler – it’s an experience. All we can do is describe it in relation to other things, or tell which things make us happy and hope other people can analogize to their own lives. We all more or less understand what others mean by happiness , but we’re still dealing with a vague concept.

How do you define happiness?

A few learnt lessons

  • Be part of the solution, not the problem.

  • Focus on Discipline, Not inspiration.

  • Specific knowledge cannot be taught, but it can be learned.

  • The most important skill for getting rich is becoming a perpetual learner.

  • Intentions don’t matter. Actions do. That’s why being ethical is hard.

What I wrote

Be part of the solution: If you want your life to feel right, to be good, to be successful and mean something, you have to put something back. You have to pay back your loan. You have to reinvest in life, and that means caring and wanting things to get better.

What I read

  • Self-Sabotage: Why You Do It and How to Stop for Good: Everybody engages in self-sabotage from time to time. For some people, it’s an occasional thing with relatively minor consequences. But for others, it’s a chronic pattern that leads to major problems in their life, work, and relationships.

  • Rape is a men's issue: I am not a feminist, but I am aware of the recent sad surge of rape cases all around the world and this article explorers various ways to make women feel safe in public—a short and instructive read.

Wellness tool

Intrinsic value: There are many things that people value, from career success to friendship, to family, to having fun. But intrinsic values are special, as they are our most fundamental values. We value them for their own sake and would continue to value them even if they caused no other effects.

This test will help you :

  1. Figure out your most important intrinsic values.

  2. Discover what your unique intrinsic values say about you.

  3. Understand why intrinsic values are so important.

For your eyes and ears.

Songs

  • Youth by Daughter

  • Serre-Moi de Tryo

  • Umukire by Young Grace

Movies

  • Raya and the last dragon: Akwafina is so good

  • Marriage or Mortgage: Okay, I am addicted to this one - a binge-watch

Riddle 😁😁😁

A doctor and a bus driver are both in love with the same woman, an attractive girl named Sarah. The bus driver had to go on a long bus trip that would last a week. Before he left, he gave Sarah seven apples.

Why?

Meme time

Still here, please forward it to a friend and blame it all on me 😁
