The Wisdomous - Loss, Lessons and Money
This is the fourth edition, and I am thankful that you are still here.
This was a rather an eventful week, full of major losses and gains. I am grateful for the conversations I had and the people in my life. I'll approach this differently.
A few learnt lessons.
Life is only a long and bitter suicide, and faith alone can transform this suicide into a sacrifice.
Social media isn’t about collecting people; it’s about connecting people.
Your world is a living expression of how you are using, and have used, your mind.
Don't lose the day waiting for the night.
What I wrote.
Scars are a testament to life: The waves never stop coming, and somehow you don't really want them to. But you learn that you'll survive them. And other waves will come. And you'll survive them too. If you're lucky, you'll have lots of scars from lots of loves. And lots of shipwrecks.
What I read.
The Psychology of Money: After last week's squeeze in the trading market, I have found myself reading a lot about investing and trading. In this book, Morgan Housel teaches you how to have a better relationship with money and make smarter financial decisions. Instead of pretending that humans are ROI-optimizing machines, he shows you how your psychology can work for and against you.
Equally Yoked: Long after the butterflies fade when the person looks at you certain way, the person that you’re equally yoked with will be the one who helps you get organized for the big meeting, grabs your favourite drink and walks the dog when you’re exhausted from being up all night. They have your best interest at heart and always show up because they know you’d do it for them whether the bible says it or not.
Self Authoring Course: I took this course a year ago, and it changed how I approach life. The course helps you remember, articulate and analyze key positive and negative life experiences. Professor Jordan Peterson designed it.
Investopedia.com: I grew up in a culture where talking about money is taboo. I learned young from my religion that love for money was shattering. I believe money is a topic worth understanding. I am investing much of my time lately learning a lot about money, generating more, using it appropriately, and influencing it to work for me.

What I am watching
The Little Things: A thriller with Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto is definitely a must-watch. In the end, it's the little things that get us caught.
Palmer: Justin Timberlake returns home from jail and finds redemption in caring for a boy who wants to be a girl. It's an emotive one - loved it!
